The journey
Four tiers. Each adds control, isolation, and intelligence. Annual plans. No seat counting. No metered connections. The full tier is included, and headcount can change without the plan changing.
Two forces drive the climb. Gates are capabilities structurally required at greater scale. Pull is value that only exists at scale: the aggregated intelligence that makes the climb worth it.
Predictable cost. No surprises at renewal.
Add users as the organisation grows. The plan stays the same.
No per-query or per-token charges.
Scale the workforce without renegotiating.
A single team running a proof-of-value
A pilot team is too small for meaningful aggregation. Basic usage stats only.
The pilot is proven and the workload is going into production.
A validated workload going live in one business domain
Thin, optional team-level qualitative signal. The data is starting to accumulate.
The rollout extends beyond one team to the workforce, or regulated/sensitive data enters scope.
Workforce-scale rollout under real compliance obligations
Department-level qualitative intelligence. Adoption patterns, friction points, workflow bottlenecks, model preferences across teams.
Decision records must count as audit evidence for a regulator or auditor.
Regulated, high-risk, or sovereignty-bound organisations
Company + region qualitative aggregation and benchmarking. Cross-tenant behavioural data that accumulates with every governed interaction.
Full governance-of-record and AI-governance accreditation (ISO 42001).
Capability progression
No capability is paywalled at the entry level. Basic safety is always included. What scales is federation, fleet distribution, attribute control, data residency, and aggregate intelligence.
Tier transitions
Tier transitions follow compliance, governance, or isolation milestones. Each gate corresponds to a specific organisational milestone.
Pilot proven, moving into production. GDPR in scope.
Rolling out beyond one team. Needs federation + fleet distribution. ISO 27001 mapping.
Regulated or sensitive data enters scope. Residency and boundary controls required.
Decision records must satisfy a regulator or auditor. ISO 42001.
High-risk AI use (EU AI Act Annex III / Art. 14 oversight) can require the high-assurance tier regardless of company size.
Deployment and isolation
The tier and the deployment model move together. Higher assurance requirements correspond to more isolated infrastructure.
Swarmix-operated. Multi-tenant for pilot; tenant-isolated for production workloads
Fits: Tier 1: Evaluate / Tier 2: OperateSingle-tenant dedicated on our infrastructure, isolated per customer, signed central pushes
Fits: Tier 3: Assure / Tier 4: SovereignCustomer-owned hardware, co-managed, signed policy bundles + remote-assisted updates
Fits: Tier 4: SovereignCustomer enclave, zero egress, offline signed bundles only
Fits: Tier 4: SovereignIntelligence progression
Aggregated AI-use intelligence requires a minimum population to be meaningful. As more teams and departments are governed, the intelligence layer becomes richer and more valuable.
A pilot team does not have enough data to aggregate. Basic usage stats are included.
Optional team-level patterns begin to emerge. The data is accumulating, but the population is too small for meaningful aggregation.
Adoption patterns, friction points, workflow bottlenecks, model preferences. Enough population for meaningful aggregation across teams.
Cross-region aggregation and behavioural benchmarking. The governed data corpus grows with every interaction across the organisation.
All qualitative intelligence is aggregated and k-anonymised. Minimum 5 users per cohort. Individuals cannot be re-identified. Content never leaves the device.
Services
Pre-sale and onboarding. Shapes the right tier and deployment fit for the organisation.
Significant for on-prem and regulated estates. Often several times the annual plan investment.
All tiers. Scales with workforce. Drives adoption and, with it, the intelligence value.
Standard to priority to 24/7 mission-critical. Explicit maintenance for on-prem, bundled for managed.
Annual plans. No seat counting. No usage metering. We map compliance, governance, and isolation requirements to the right tier and deployment model.
A walkthrough of unified visibility, governance, and intelligence across every AI vendor and team.
